SPRINGFIELD, IL – On the latest leg of the 51st Legislative District “Transition Tour,” State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) stopped in Chrisman to meet with local officials on Jan 30.
“We had a very pleasant meeting with the Mayor and local Edgar County officials last week,” Rose said. “Economic development and job creation is sorely needed in downstate Illinois. As part of my on-going tour of the new 51st district, it is my goal to meet with locally elected leaders, chamber of commerce and economic development directors, and other business leaders to see where the state can help in attracting and retaining downstate jobs.”
In this stop, Sen. Rose met with several local Chrisman officials. The Senator stressed that his “Transition Tour” will be continuing throughout the spring legislative session. Rose previously toured the Chrisman school district and met with local educational leaders.
