SPRINGFIELD, IL – Administrators from several Central Illinois community colleges traveled to the State Capitol on March 4 to address the Senate Higher Education Committee on much needed reforms to the MAP Grant Program.
Specifically the administrators were in attendance to speak in support of Senate Bill 3306, which is being sponsored by State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet). Rose’s SB 3306 would create a second MAP Grant application deadline for nontraditional students and displaced workers.
