Rose Appointed to Rural Health Transformation Advisory Workgroup

SPRINGFIELD, IL- State Senator Rose (R-Mahomet) has been appointed to serve on the Rural Health Transformation Advisory Workgroup, a statewide panel responsible for providing guidance and oversight on the implementation of Illinois’ Rural Health Transformation Program.

“The people of rural Illinois deserve the same access to quality healthcare as anyone else in this state,” said Rose. “I’ve spent years advocating for our rural hospitals and providers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring those concerns directly to this workgroup.”

The Rural Health Transformation Advisory Workgroup was established to help guide the implementation of the Rural Health Transformation Program.

Rose’s district is home to numerous rural healthcare providers and hospitals that serve as critical lifelines for residents throughout Southern and Central Illinois.

“Rural communities know their challenges better than anyone in Springfield,” Rose said. “This workgroup gives us an opportunity to make sure state resources are being used effectively and that the needs of rural patients, providers, and communities remain front and center.”

The advisory workgroup will meet quarterly through 2032 and will help ensure community input remains a central part of the program’s implementation.
