Thanks to the strong advocacy of parents and supporters across the state like you, the anti-homeschool bill, HB2827, is currently on life support in the Illinois House, but we can’t declare victory yet! Until the legislature adjourns for the summer, it could be resurrected and called for a vote at any time. Indeed, the bill sponsor has pledged to do just that.
I remain firmly opposed to HB2827 and its efforts to restrict parental rights and educational freedom. I will continue to advocate on your behalf and stand against legislation that undermines your ability to choose the best educational path for your children.
But, because last-minute legislative maneuvers are always possible, I am asking you to help me keep up the pressure to finish the job and kill this bill! Please keep the calls, emails, and letters coming!
Together, we can protect the rights of families to educate their children — free from unnecessary government interference. Please join me in standing against HB2827 by signing my petition here. I encourage you to share this petition with your friends.
Also, please watch and share my video where I discuss this bill in more detail and explain why it’s so important to stay engaged.
Your support will send a clear message that we all stand for parental rights and educational freedom in Illinois. Thank you for your time and consideration.
