SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) is hosting a May 13 legislative update about the Murdock Coal Mine and environmental issues surrounding it.
The event will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 13 at the Murdock Community Center, which is the old school building, located at one block north of the Methodist Church.
Officials from the Department of Natural Resources will be in attendance and Rose will provide an update from the state EPA and also on the ongoing law suit against the Alpena Company that is dumping at the site.
