Illinois Senate honors America’s veterans

Senator Rose honored our
nation’s Veterans this week, taking part in Veterans Day events alongside his
local community.

Sen.
Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) hosted a Veterans Event and blood drive at the
American Legion Hall in Downers Grove, featuring information and assistance
from a wide range of organizations and state agencies. Sen. Sue Rezin
(R-Morris) attended services in Coal City, and met Jack Heavens, a World War II
hero who still fit into his uniform! And Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) honored
seven brothers who served in World War II by renaming Illinois Route 133
through Douglas County as the Ghere Brothers Memorial Highway.
