State Senator Chapin Rose Opens Offices in Decatur and Champaign

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Constituents of the 51st Legislative District will have two new, local offices in Champaign and Decatur to seek assistance on state business according to State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet).

“Today I am very excited to announce the opening of two constituent service offices in the 51st district,” Rose said.  “Approximately 70% of the population of the 51st district will be within ½ hour of the Decatur or Champaign locations.  In the next two weeks, I will be announcing additional ‘satellite offices’ that will be convenient to the remaining geographic area,” he continued.  “It is very important for me that the citizens of the 51st have an easily accessible legislator, so in addition to this announcement and the coming satellite office announcement, we will also be hosting ‘traveling office hours,’ in local communities during the spring session,” Rose concluded.

The Senator’s local and capitol offices are all being brought online following his January 9th swearing-in.  “We are calling this a ‘soft launch’ as we continue to move equipment and supplies in and finalize the staffing of the ‘satellite’ locations.  But we are very excited to get underway and with all the issues on the table in Springfield, I wanted to get our contact information out so that constituents can reach us on issues important to them,” said Rose.

Additionally, Rose announced that his long-time aide, Landon Stenger, will continue as his Chief-of-Staff out of the Champaign office and that Beverly Offer, a former aide to Sen. Kyle McCarter, will take the reigns of his new Decatur office.
