With the 104th General Assembly underway, State Senator Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) has been reappointed as the Senate Republican Caucus’s chief budget negotiator. Senator Rose will once again play a key role in shaping the state’s budget as the ranking Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
“I am honored to continue serving as the Senate Republican Caucus’s chief budget negotiator,” said Rose. “The state’s budget needs to reflect the priorities of the people of Illinois. Governor Pritzker has failed to do that. In fact, under Governor Pritzker’s leadership, we now have a massive $3 billion budget deficit. The people of my district have plainly said they have had enough of Governor Pritzker’s spending.”
In addition to his role as chief budget negotiator, he has also been appointed to multiple other key committees, including Appropriations-Education, Financial Institutions, Insurance, and Judiciary.
