Danville to finally get much-needed economic development through a new casino
Senator Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) released the following statement after passage of a capital construction program which included authorization for a Danville casino :
“Throughout my legislative career, I have fought for Danville and East Central Illinois to have this kind of economic opportunity and the jobs it will bring to our area. I would like to thank the local leaders in Danville and Vermillion County for continuing to push for this important project. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank former Representatives Bill Black and Chad Hays, Senators Judy Meyers and Rick Winkel, and former mayor Scott Eisenhauer, who championed this cause for so many years. I will continue to fight for the economic well-being of East Central Illinois and this will be a great shot in the arm to our local economy.”
