SPRINGFIELD, IL – Douglas County-area senior citizens were the beneficiaries of a free financial seminar sponsored by State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet).
The July 10 event featured speakers from AARP, the Illinois Treasurer’s Office and the Citizens Utility Board, which offered money saving tips on utility bills.
“I would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to the Douglas County Farm Bureau for hosting the event at their Tuscola office and to local media outlets for their pre-coverage of the fair,” Rose said.
